Visitor  VAF1 - includes visitors for civil partnership and student visitors

Employment   VAF2 - includes Work Permit Holders, Working Holidaymakers, Highly Skilled Migrants plus other 'non Work Permit' employment categories as above *. Civil Partners of some of these categories can apply on the same form as 'dependents'. Check your category on the BIA website

Student   VAF3 - includes civil partners of students

Settlement   VAF4 - Civil Partners or Unmarried Partners of British, Irish or settled sponsors (includes EEA nationals with Permanent Residence), Proposed Civil Partners of British, Irish or settled sponsors (includes EEA nationals with Registration Certificate)

EEA Family Permit   VAF5 - Civil Partners or those in "durable relationships" (2 years prior cohabitation) with EEA Nationals.  See CP page
